Recycling ideas: Christmas wreath with plastic spoons

Materials:
– cardboard box.
– Plastic Spoons
– Scissors
– Hot Glue Gun/Glue Sticks
Making your Plastic  wreath.
1.Cut your cardboard box so it lays flat on the ground or table.
2. Decide the diameter for your mirror using a ruler or yard stick. (I made one large 35 cm and one smaller 30cm)
3. Using your pen, string, and scissor you have created a drawing compass. Hold your scissor point firmly on your cardboard box and draw your circle.

4.  Begin gluing your spoons onto your cardboard so that each spoon create an angle of 45 degrees with the small circle.

Making Fabric flower

How to make Fabric Flowers, recyling ideas

Materials:

  • Pretty fabric
  • Glass or round template
  • Cardboard (just rummage through your recycling bin to find some)
  • Tailor’s chalk or a pencil
  • Scissors.
  • Needle and thread.
  • Candle and lighter.
  • A brooch backing
  • A button.

Let’s start!

1.  you’ll need to make a circle template to use for cutting out your fabric. Trace around a small glass onto cardboard, and cut out the cardboard circle.

2. Using your cardboard template, trace 11 circles onto your fabric and cut these out.

3. Take the outer edge of the spiral circle and lightly burn it.

4. Fold one circle in half, fold in half again, sew the center of the circle on the center of the other circle, we have one petal. Make the same way with other 3 cirlces.

With button flower:

1. You’ll need to make a heart template to use for cutting out your fabric.

2. Using your cardboard template, trace 8 circles onto your fabric and cut these out and a circle.

3. Take the outer edge of the spiral circle and lightly burn it.

4. Fold the tail of the heart in to zigzac shape ( 3 times), sew it on the circle, we have one petal. Make the same way with other hearts.

5. Sew the button in the center of the flower. We have the brooch flower.

Recycling ideas: buttons bouquet

Materials:

– 60 – 100 Buttons.

– Wire.

– Scissors.

– Lace ( 20cm x15 cm)

– Ribbon.

– Pliers

Make button flower tutorial

Decide on the length that you want your flower stems to be, cut your wire twice this length and fold in half.

Run it through one button hole and down through the other. Start twisting tight at the top, closest to the button and work your way down.

Make more flowers as you want.

Arrange about 5-7 button flowers one layer and use wire in the end to fix  them.
