  1. Did I miss something or you there’s no information about the beggining chain? How many stiches should I start with?

  2. You do not have a foundation chain-to begin the pattern??? How many do we do for the pattern-or do we do a circle and then add or what-not clear how long the beginning is supposed to be. Thanks

  3. there is no starting chain listed…can you please email me a response with the starting chain so I can make this lovely?…thanks

  4. I’m studying this 3-yrs old dress but I’m confused by the layout of the chart. I think after the collar is finished, one starts the rest of the body from the top
down. Same way you were doing the collar so the dress is done in one piece.
From the top down. ??? It is a beautiful dress.

    • Yes, I believe you are right. This is done in one piece. Since there is no beginning chain given, I think you could do a single crochet foundation chain, or a double crochet foundation chain to the size that would be long enough to fit over a child’s head. My guess would be about 24 inches. Or measure a pullover shirt that would fit the child and make the chain that long.

  5. This is an adorable pattern. But how many chains do you start with for the collar? And then how many chains are needed to start the skirt chart? Thanks!

  6. I figured it out. Pretty sure anyway. Chain 4. Dc in 4th. ch. from hook. Dc in 2nd chain from hook. Chain 4 repeat. I made the dress for my 22month old Granddaughter. I did 24 of those.Joined with a sl. st.

  7. Hi, I started by measuring the collar of a dress that is the size of the dress I’m going to make. I made a chain that length, so if the collar is 14 inch round I made a chain 14 inchs and then started at round 1.
    I hope this helps.

  8. Why is the first round different from round 3, 5…? I’m a little confused because in the picture they all look the same. And what is the pattern with above the first row? I’m trying to crochet this dress for my 4 year old niece with cotton and 2.1mm hook. Do you have any suggestions about the starting chain? Thank you! 🙂
